Ollie, Ollie, Oxen Free!
JO and JY got skateboards last Christmas, but haven’t really had a chance to practice much. The Webmaster has been showing them skateboarding videos on YouTube which inspired them to give it a go. We decided to go to the baseball park down the street that has several different parking lots, and plenty of blacktop surface conducive to skateboarding. They started out slow by sitting on the board and racing down the hill…notice JO has his serious face on
JO was off and running (uuuh skating) relatively quickly.
JY used his “wings” to help him balance.
Having better developed leg muscles helped JO push off with more power than JY.
To gain some speed JY went back to sitting on the board, and let his “wings” rest.
I had to close my eyes in fear when JO instructed The Webmaster to loosen the wheels so he could gain some speed.
My knitting will calm me…my 3rd project for Camp Loopy is Drifting in Bugga, Sitticus Jumping Spider. I’ve finished the body, and I can almost smell the Wollmeise! Now barring any Bugga shortage disasters this cardigan should be finished by the September 15th deadline.
